also, i am wondering if anyone can recommend a snoot for me.
thirdly, have any of you found good ways to modify the light from your flash units via some type of barndoors or gobos, flags or somthing.
i'd like to know what you guys do.
as far as the speedlite mode you posted...why exactly would you use that? since the light is so concentrated you'd have to use it at 200mm and longer (on a crop body)...it wouldn't bounce well because the beam would be so small.
as for the strobe modifiers, i honestly think they are a waste of money, when you can just as easily do them yourself. there's tons of DIY light mod stuff on the internet to look through...i wouldn't recommend it for strobe strobes, but for speedlites there's no reason to. I've made a snoot before out of construction paper and it worked great. as far as gobos, barndoors and flags...black construction paper or cardstock. unless you want to spend some money on something sturdier you could easily get away with that.
