FireFox + Proxomitron = No Luck

  • Hi, I'm using Firefox as a browser & proxomitron as a local proxy, I'm using the default rules for them but whenever I want to surf somewhere just nothing happens ?

What could be the problem here ?

PS : It only works if i deactive the default "Block incoming Proxomitron connection". (default rule for Proxomitron)

Hello buffy, Welcome to the Forum :)

Please see Outpost 2.5 - what to expect (http://www.outpostfirewall.com/forum/showthread.php?t=11836) see #6 under What to Expect. Are you a first time OutPost user?

    HTH

  • The Lifetime upgrade offer ends January 10th. If you purchase after the 10th then you will have to pay the renewal price every year.A slight amendment here - it is not necessary to renew every year. The licence allows for indefinite use of Outpost with one year of free updates - renewing the licence gives access to a further year's updates. Renewals are at a 50% discount and do not have to be done continuously - i.e. you could wait a few months after the previous update period had expired and still get the discount (and this could be worth doing if you wanted to wait for a major release).

It is worth re-downloading the Outpost installer from Agnitum's website before the expiration of any upgrade licence though, to ensure that you have the latest build for future use.

  • Thanks Paranoid :)

  • Thanks I had only readed that, and tried it without luck, but (doh) I just moved the "Block incomping proxomitron connections" down, and now all is suddenly working great ! :)

Yeah, I'm trying the software, and considering buying the license, is it lifelong or just for one year/version ?

    Thanks a bunch ! ;)

  • Hello buffy,

The Lifetime upgrade offer ends January 10th. If you purchase after the 10th then you will have to pay the renewal price every year.

The version you are using will change and has changed many times over the years since I started using Version 1 Pro. What is different is the license key If you purchase for 1 year it counts down like any other one year purchased program. Lifetime Key means exactly that on the upgrades.

When you purchase OutPost and put in your license key it will show up in the OutPost GUI under my Internet at the Bottom on the right side. It will show your name and what type of License you have. Under Registration Status.

The final choice is yours and I cannot make that decision for you.
