  • I have wscript.exe under blocked apps, all .vbs, .shs etc... files open in notepad by default (and have had since ever). Is that enough?

    As for having .vbs, .shs files opened by notepad, I don't think this is a 100% secure solution. While it would certainly affect how Windows Explorer treats the files, it is still possible to override this setting and run the files anyway via an appropriate command and it is not easy to be certain that every possible extension is covered (Microsoft being Microsoft, there may well be a few "extra" ones for internal use and other types may be added in future Windows updates...).
